Sunday Review
I frequently get asked about how to stay on track with setting and accomplishing goals with everything else that has to get done in a coach’s life.
Besides writing them down daily, reviewing them frequently, and scheduling and blocking out the time to work on your goals, something I always refer these coaches to is the Sunday Review.
The only way to know if you are on the right path with your daily actions is if you are doing a weekly check-in with yourself. You should always be checking in to see if you are not only on the right path, but I think you should always keep checking in to see how you are doing on that path. How are you going to know how well you are doing unless to stop and do a quick check-in?
Everybody needs it.
Don’t just fumble into next week without any thought or intention. After you are done reading this post, sit down and ask yourself:
How am I really doing (life, recruiting, team, managing staff, relationships, health, leading, etc.)?
What is working well?
What is not working?
What was frustrating for me last week?
What is the next level for me?
What could I do to make next week better?
What can I do to bring a better version of me?
It is that continual asking of yourself these questions that will make you a high performer. It takes 30 minutes.
Based on your answers, then start planning on how you can make next week better than the previous week was.
That is how you keep improving. That is how you eliminate what isn’t working.
When you don’t ask yourself these questions every week, a week will go by, a month goes by, or even a year goes by and you have no idea where the time has gone, and you probably haven’t accomplished much which sucks!
Don’t let another year go by and not accomplish all the goals you set. If you want your help coming up with a daily plan of action on making this your best year ever, email me at [email protected].
