Give yourself a gift 🎁

Hey Coach,

You know what’s crazy?  

I’ve tried every productivity hack in the book…  

I’ve invested in tools, apps, and pieces of software…  

I’ve talked to performance coaches and productivity experts… 

But I’ve yet to find something that gets me going like good ole gifts. 

Simply, every time I want to get something done, I promise myself a little gift that I’ll get to enjoy ONLY once I have completed the work. 

If it’s a small task, I’ll go for a nice dinner or my favorite drink. 

If it’s a bigger project, I might promise myself a mini vacation. 

…And it works like a charm to keep me focused until completion.  

If you think about it… 

We’ve been conditioned to operate like this since we were kids. 

“If you get a good grade, I’ll buy you that toy.” 

“If you finish your homework, you can go outside.” 

Our brains are wired to go harder when there’s a reward on the other end. 

So why not take advantage of that with the work you do as a coach? 

You may be too old for toys and playing outside…  

But you are never too old for a gift.
